Chatham Saw Mill is one of the oldest and largest saw mills in Asia, located near Port Blair. Established during the British colonial period, the mill played a significant role in timber processing for construction and shipbuilding. Today, it serves as a historical and educational site, allowing visitors to learn about Andaman’s forestry heritage, traditional wood-cutting techniques, and industrial history through exhibits and guided tours.
The best time to visit is between October and April, when weather conditions are pleasant for sightseeing.
